RHEUMATOLOGY
Position Overview: Weareseekingacompassionateandskilled Rheumatologisttojoinourexpanding Rheumatologydepartmentat theSpringer Buildingin Tulsa ,Oklahoma.
Thisisanexcitingopportunitytobepartofagrowingteamandservea diverseadultpatientpopulation.
Thedepartmentcurrentlyincludes5physiciansand3advancedpractice providers(APPs),andwearelookingtoadd onemoreprovidertomeetcommunityneeds.
- Provideoutpatientcareforadultpatientswithavarietyofrheumatologicconditions
- Manageamixofconditions,includingautoimmunediseases,musculoskeletaldisorders,and inflammatorydiseases
- Participate in hospital call rotation (1 in every 6 weekends) with weekend call relief during the week if coveringweekends
- Utilize Dragonvoicerecognitionwith Epicfordocumentation
- Conductjointinjectionsandbiopsies(musclebiopsieshandledbyDr.John King,General Surgery)
- Collaboratewithotherspecialistsinthe Springerbuilding,including
Endocrinology,ENT,Podiatry,Dermatology,Ophthalmology,Pediatrics, and Urgent Care
- Mondayto Friday,8:00AM–5:00PM
- 4.5daysperweekdedicatedtoseeingpatients
- Call schedule:1inevery6weekends
- Weekday/weeknightcallissharedbetween5providers
- Thedepartmentisequippedwith Sonositeultrasoundandamicroscopefordiagnosisandtreatment
- Infusionsareperformedat Saint Francis Hospital Yaleorthe SFCancer Treatment Center
- Theclinicoffersacollaborativeenvironmentwithaccesstoafullrangeofspecialists,includingreferralsforpainmanagementneeds
- Pediatric Rheumatologyservicesarenotofferedlocally,butpediatricpatients(11yearsandolder) can be seen forconsults inourclinic
- Thedepartmentutilizes Dragonvoicerecognitionwith Epicfordstreamlineddocumentation
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology
- Open to new graduates
- Experiencewithadultrheumatologyandmusculoskeletalconditionspreferred
- Strong communication skillsandabilitytoworkinateam-oriented environment
