Position Summary
Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida – Lee Health is seeking a full‑time, board certified/eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Hospitalist within the Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. The role involves inpatient services on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule with daily rounding during service. Average inpatient census is 8‑10 patients.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care for patients on the 13‑bed unit.
- Participate in rounds and collaborate with nurses, social workers, child life specialists, psychologists, and research coordinators.
- Manage inpatient chemotherapy, infusion care, and supportive therapies.
- Coordinate care with outpatient clinics, infusion center, and procedure facilities.
- Maintain documentation in EPIC EMR and contribute to medical informatics updates for BEACON.
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Experience caring for oncology and sickle cell patients.
- Strong clinical skills in inpatient oncology management.
- Ability to work a 7‑on/7‑off shift schedule.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
