Academic Physician Gastroenterology

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a Gastroenterologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). Successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and/or Fairmont, WV.

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology, providing excellent patient care. The candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Candidates must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and be eligible for state medical licensing.

Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship.

All candidates must be board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology, with all qualifications met by the time of appointment.

GI and Hepatology service line offers a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including advanced endoscopy and ERCPs.

The department provides significant institutional support for academic pursuits, particularly in chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease, and offers opportunities to build and design programs within the large referral academic center.
