Riverside Health is currently seeking an experienced leader to join our well‑respected trauma and surgical critical care team at Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC) in Newport News, Virginia. As the only Level II Trauma Center in the Peninsula Region, RRMC offers a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment where compassionate, expert care meets collaboration and innovation.

About Riverside Health- Integrated, not‑for‑profit health system with 4 hospitals and over 100 ambulatory practices
- Over 750 providers across primary care and specialties
- Over 100 years of service to communities across southeastern Virginia
- Powered by Epic system‑wide (inpatient and outpatient)
- Strong physician leadership and collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
- Single hospital coverage – no travel required
- 15.25 twelve‑hour shifts per month schedule
- Team of 5 experienced Trauma Surgeons and 5 dedicated APPs
- 18‑bed Surgical ICU with full Intensivist support
- Supportive in‑patient APP coverage 7 days a week
- The only Level II Trauma Center in the Peninsula Region
- 450‑bed hospital, join a team of five Trauma Surgeons
- Completion of ACGME General Surgery Residency and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
- Board Certification or Board Eligible
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading surgical critical care or trauma teams, collaborative interpersonal style, and solid oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative approach with other physicians and APPs
- Ability to provide guidance to other medical staff
