Dartmouth Health’s Department of Orthopaedics is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified arthroscopy and hip preservation surgeon to join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to the bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine.
The preferred candidate will be responsible for providing expert care in Orthopaedics, with a particular emphasis on building a hip preservation practice. This should include training and proficiency in both arthroscopic and open techniques in hip preservation techniques. The role involves joining an established, multidisciplinary team with ample opportunities for support and mentorship, primarily based at our academic medical center, with opportunities for outreach and collaboration across our health system in New Hampshire and Vermont.
The candidate will be an active participant in the academic mission of the department, including opportunities for protected research time for interested candidates. Appointment via the Geisel School of Medicine may be Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.

- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited Orthopaedic residency
- Fellowship training in hip preservation, comprehensive hip, or the equivalent required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedics (to be obtained within 5 years)
- Eligible for NH medical licensure
