Location: Northern

Maine Health Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible adult neuropsychologist with experience in epilepsy and neuro-oncology to join our well-established neurology group. This primarily outpatient position is based at our facility on the Maine Health Scarborough Campus with onsite MRI and neurodiagnostic lab. The position entails providing outpatient neuropsychological evaluation services to individuals referred by our subspecialty clinics including epileptology, neuro-oncology, cognitive neurology, vascular neurology, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neuromuscular, as well as general neurology referrals from the other Maine Health neurology practices within the state.

Our team consists of physicians and APPs, a neuropsychologist, psychometrist, behavioral health clinicians, nursing and MA staff,pharmacist, and care navigators. Opportunities for research and intervention may be supported based upon the candidate’s interest and experience.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Doctoral degree from a licensure eligible psychology program which at the time the degree was granted was accredited by the American Psychological Association, Canadian Psychology Association, or was listed in the publication Doctoral Psychology Programs Meeting Designation Criteria.

    Two years of postdoctoral neuropsychology training consistent with American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology/American Board Professional Psychology board certification eligibility.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist by the Maine Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Board certification or eligibility for certification in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology/American Board Professional Psychology within 3 years of employment.
  • Experience:

    A minimum of five years of clinical experience providing neuropsychological services in a medical/clinical setting. The equivalent of two years (full-time) postdoctoral experience and specialized training in the study and practice of clinical neuropsychology and related neurosciences supervised by a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. Experience in presurgical epilepsy evaluations, including Wada testing.
  • Abilities:
    Necessary personal, professional, and interpersonal skills required to conduct neuropsychological evaluations and interventions with patients and their families as well as to work effectively as a member of a diverse health care team.

The annual base salary for this position is $140,231 - $164,048.
