NYU Langone's Lung Transplant Program is a high-volume program averaging 80+ lung transplants annually and caring for a diverse, medically complex patient population from across the tri-state area and beyond. According to 2026 Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) reports, NYU Langone's Lung Transplant Programme is among the leading programmes in New York State and the tri-state region across key measures including transplant rate, time to transplant, and outcomes.

As a major referral centre for advanced lung disease, NYU Langone continues to broaden its reach and offers fellows broad exposure to complex pre-transplant and post-transplant care, including lung-liver, lung-kidney, and heart-lung transplantation. NYU Langone has also been a leader in innovation in the field, including being the first centre in the world to perform a fully robotic lung transplant.
