Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant - CVPH

The CVPH Gastroenterology team is seeking a passionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality care to adult patients in Plattsburgh, New York

This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care and inpatient consult/rounding
. Working closely with Gastroenterologists and fellow APPs, the APP provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of adult GI patients.

• 36 hours of patient-facing time
• 4 hours of non-patient facing time
• 8-hour days, 5 days per week
• Inpatient coverage of one week every third week, with remaining time spent in clinic. This inpatient rotation is a consistent and expected part of the role and is built into the team's overall coverage model.

• Manage an outpatient panel of GI patients
• Perform inpatient rounding and consultations with physician support
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI conditions; order and interpret tests
• Coordinate discharges, follow-up plans, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, APP colleagues, nursing, and support teams

• Licensed NP or PA in New York State (or eligibility to obtain)
• Eligible for DEA registration in NY
• Ability to obtain CVPH privileges
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Gastroenterology or acute care experience
