Job SummaryPosition Title: House Calls Podiatrist/ Driver provided!
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Podiatrist to provide high-quality, in-home foot and ankle care to patients across all five boroughs of New York City. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, patient-focused clinician who thrives in a mobile care environment and is passionate about improving access to care for homebound and underserved populations.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:
- Travel to patients’ homes to deliver podiatric evaluations, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including but not limited to diabetic foot care, ulcers, infections, corns, calluses, and toenail disorders.
- Provide wound care management and preventive foot care education to patients and caregivers.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the organization’s electronic health record system.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure proper use of medical equipment and supplies during visits.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine.
- Current and unrestricted New York State podiatry license.
- Board certification or board eligibility in podiatric medicine or surgery (preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience (home care experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and mobile documentation tools.
