The Pediatrics Physician works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare (NHC) by providing excellent patient-centered care and services within a dynamic team environment. This role will provide comprehensive medical services to pediatric patients. In addition, this role will educate and promote healthy choices to parents and their children.

• 2 days a week, 8 AM - 5 PM (16 hour week)

• Reviews patient records, including allergies, problems, medications,and immunization statuses
• Elicits anddocumentsinformation about patient’s medical history
• Examinessymptoms to gather more information about the patient’sphysical condition
• Orders and executes various tests, analyses,and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition
• Analyzes reports and findings of tests,examinations,and diagnosestounderstand the patient’s current condition
• Administers or prescribes treatmentsto patients
• Determine sand prescribes medications, dosages,and schedulesgiven patientconditionsand allergies
• Discussespossible side effects to medicationsor immunizationswith patient sand parents
• Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases
• Promotes health byadvisingpatients and parents about diets, hygiene,and methods for prevention of disease
• Performs surgical procedurescorrespondingto surgicalcompetencies
• Refers patients to medical specialistsfor consultant servicesforpatients’well-being, as needed
• Documents patient visits,including medical histories, physical exams, diagnoses,and plansof action
• Follows up with patientsregardingprogress inhigh riskor emergency cases
• Conductsphysical examinations to patients for information needed for admission to schools, consideration for jobs,or eligibility for insurance coverage

• Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination withcare teams
• Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients,fellow employees, and other stakeholders
• Assessestraining needs and promotesdevelopmental activities for the team

• Maintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public
• Cooperates inaccomplishingdepartment goals and objectives

• Doctorate in medicine is

• Active California Medical license in good standing is required
• Current CA DEA licensure is
