• Night shifts primary ‑‐ 6 pm ‑ 6 am, 12hr shifts in consecutive blocks
• Day shifts: 6 am ‑ 2 pm; evening shifts: 1 pm ‑ 9 pm available
• Approx 6 ‑ 8 shifts per month, likely consecutive or in blocks
• Estimated 20,000 visits per year
• Hospitalists handle admissions ‑‐ ER providers participate in Code response
• Newborn deliveries received in ED ‑‐ L&D department on‑site
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Ongoing assignment
