The Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, is seeking an accomplished, collaborative Plastic Surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This Chief will join a growing faculty and a collaborative working environment. This is a physician leadership opportunity for a surgeon who wants meaningful clinical practice combined with responsibility for program direction, team development, quality, and growth.

The Division has a main clinical base at Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, Mac Neal Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also attended by the group.

Highlights of the Position
  • Provide clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for the division.
  • Guide division that spans cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, facial reconstruction, body contouring, burn surgery, complex wound care, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and pediatric congenital deformities.
  • Collaborate with Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Dermatology, Trauma, Wound Care, and hospital leadership to strengthen coordinated patient care.
  • Partner with leadership on physician recruitment, access, quality improvement, operational standardization, and program expansion.
Candidate Requirements
  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Plastic Surgery.
  • Associate or Professor of Surgery rank
  • Prior leadership, division development, or physician management experience strongly preferred.
  • Track record of mentorship and career guidance for faculty, residents and students
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and to balance clinical excellence with operational stewardship.

This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:

  • Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 - $985,945
