General Surgery - Physician Assistant - Albany, NY

St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team er's Hospital in Albany, NY. Join a collaborative surgical team committed to high quality, patient centered care with strong system support and a team-focused environment.

• Provide comprehensive surgical and inpatient care within a structured coverage model
• Mix of operating room time and floor-based responsibilities
• First assist in the OR supporting the team of General Surgeons at St Peters General Surgery, including minimally invasive, robotic, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical cases
• Evaluate new consults and complete admission histories, physical exams, and orders for ER patients. Round on post surgical patients on floors
• 2-12 hour shifts and 2-8 hour shift
• Rotation call schedule for weeknights and weekends

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NYS license
• Previous experience in general surgery or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

St. Peters Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:

• Competitive base salary range $138,811-$159,633 commensurate with experience
• $5,000 starting bonus paid in first payroll month
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
