Location: Northern
EXPERIENCED PHYSICIAN INJECTOR - ULTRASOUND & C-ARM-GUIDED PROCEDURES
We are seeking experienced, procedure-oriented physicians to join our expanding clinical team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience performing musculoskeletal and joint injections under ultrasound and fluoroscopic/C-arm guidance. Experience with orthobiologic treatments---including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and placental-derived matrix products is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted California medical license
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Pain Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology or a closely related specialty
- Demonstrated experience performing ultrasound-guided joint and soft-tissue injections
- Experience with fluoroscopic/C-arm-guided procedures
- Excellent knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and image-guided needle placement
- Experience evaluating and treating common joint, tendon, ligament and musculoskeletal conditions
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Active DEA registration, if required for the physician’s scope of practice
- Strong documentation, communication and patient-education skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, ethical and compliant patient care
Preferred Experience:
- Platelet-rich plasma preparation and injection
- Bone-marrow or other autologous orthobiologic procedures
- Placental-derived matrix or other appropriately sourced and legally compliant biologic products
- Ultrasound-guided injections of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot
- C-arm-guided spine, sacroiliac, hip or other interventional procedures, when within the physician’s training and privileges
- Pain medicine, sports medicine, regenerative medicine or orthopedic practice experience
Responsibilites:
- Conduct focused musculoskeletal consultations and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Perform ultrasound- and C-arm-guided injections using sterile technique
- Select patients appropriately for PRP and other orthobiologic procedures
- Explain potential benefits, alternatives, limitations and risks clearly
- Obtain and document informed consent
- Monitor patients before, during and after procedures
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Follow all applicable facility, radiation-safety, infection-control and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Proactive Longevity clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience
