The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and students, and seeks to recruit vascular and endovascular surgeons with a focus on open and endovascular surgery, clinical care, and research.
The selected candidates will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; conducting independent research; and overseeing all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
If appointed to a title covered by the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Additional information can be found here:

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree.
Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.
Candidates must have completed, or be on track to complete, a 0+5 or 5+2 fellowship program in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.
Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
