Locum | Internal Medicine Physician

Supporting an Indian Health Service (IHS) outpatient clinic in Gallup, New Mexico, we are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician (General Internist) for a flexible locum/contract assignment. This clinic-based role focuses on adult outpatient care, offering a predictable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities. The position can be part-time or full-time, depending on provider preference and clinic needs.

• Provide outpatient internal medicine care to adult patients.
• Manage chronic conditions and routine visits.
• See approximately 15–17 patients per day when scheduled.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care as needed.

• Flexible (part-time or full-time based on availability).
• Monday–Friday clinic hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM when scheduled).
• No call, no nights, no weekends.

• Established outpatient clinic setting.
• Supported by nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative personnel.
• Case management available for referrals.

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Current BLS certification

• Ability to obtain and maintain IHS credentialing and privileges (typically 4–6 weeks).
• Experience in outpatient/internal medicine settings preferred.
• Ability to manage adult patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions.
