The Department of Emergency Medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an exceptional emergency physician to join our faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to build an academic career in a dynamic department dedicated to clinical excellence, medical education, innovation, and service.
Our faculty practice in academic, tertiary care adult and pediatric Level I trauma centers that care for more than 100,000 patients annually. Faculty members play a vital role in training the next generation of emergency physicians through our three-year emergency medicine residency program, which includes 16 residents per class, as well as fellowship programs in EMS, ultrasound, medical toxicology, operational and disaster medicine, global emergency medicine, and pediatric emergency medicine.
This is an exceptional time to join our department. In late 2027, we will open a new state-of-the-art, 95,000-square-foot emergency department designed to advance patient care, education, research, and innovation.
