The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is seeking Pediatric Neurology Headache Specialist to provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings, working primarily in Las Vegas, Nevada, and other sites in Nevada. Clinical activities in Las Vegas will focus on high-level pediatric neurology care including care for pediatric patients with headache and other pain disorders, and will include weekly outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and participation in outreach and telehealth programs.

Clinical duties will comprise ~85% of the individual's time commitment. Clinical activities will take place primarily at Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital, scheduled to open in 2030, and Intermountain Health outpatient clinics located in and near Las Vegas, NV. Beyond this, the Division of Pediatric Neurology provides specialty care in a variety of pediatric and developmental neurological conditions including neuromuscular, vascular disease, movement disorders, headache and functional neuroimaging.

The Pediatric Neurologists will be intrinsic and collegial members of the Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics. In addition to clinical care, the faculty member will have opportunities in education and scholarly activities, including quality improvement and advocacy.

Intermountain Health is building a new children's hospital in Las Vegas, with significant plans to develop and grow specialized pediatric care for the children in the region. Together with the Division of Pediatric Neurology, this is an opportunity to join and build transformative pediatric care regionally.

The Division of Pediatric Neurology is a friendly and dynamic group that maintains specialty interests in a variety of pediatric and developmental neurological conditions including epilepsy, neurogenetic and neuromuscular diseases, stroke and vascular disease, movement disorders, and functional neuroimaging and basic neuroscience research. Major initiatives in precision medicine and gene therapy also exist.

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology with Specialization in Child Neurology, and subspecialty training in Pediatric Headache. Medical licensure in the states of Utah and Nevada are required at the time of hire. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Adjunct, Clinical, or Tenure Track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
