Tidal Health is accepting applications for its ACGME-accredited Healthcare Administration, Leadership and Management (HALM) Fellowship, one of only a limited number of accredited HALM programs in the United States.
This one-year fellowship is designed for physicians seeking advanced training in healthcare leadership, administration, and executive management while continuing clinical practice in their primary specialty approximately 25% of the time.
Fellows work directly with physician executives and senior health system leaders while gaining hands-on experience in:
- Healthcare administration and operations
- Strategic planning and organizational leadership
- Finance and resource management
- Quality improvement and patient safety
- Population health and care delivery transformation
- Governance and executive decision-making
- Change management and organizational improvement
In addition to executive-level mentorship, fellows participate in leadership meetings, serve on organizational committees, lead strategic initiatives, and complete a capstone project focused on improving healthcare system performance and patient outcomes.
This unique fellowship prepares physicians for future leadership positions within hospitals, health systems, academic medicine, and other healthcare organizations.
Annual Salary: $76,572.87
Visa Sponsorship: J-1 visa sponsorship through ECFMG may be considered for qualified applicants on a case-by-case basis. H-1B and F-1 visa sponsorship are not available.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency, AOA-approved residency, ACGME International Advanced Specialty Accreditation program, or RCPSC- or CFPC-accredited residency program in Canada
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Leadership and Management, or a related field
- Eligibility for Maryland medical licensure
- Eligibility for clinical privileges within the applicant's specialty at Tidal Health
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare leadership, administration, quality improvement, or organizational performance
- Leadership experience during residency and/or clinical practice
- Post-residency clinical experience
- Strong interest in healthcare administration, physician leadership, and health system transformation
