Ameri Corps Ohio Reading & Math Corps offers a life‑changing service experience. Over 1,000 participants help more than 2,000 students each year.
Responsibilities- Provide elementary‑level tutoring for K‑5 students in local elementary schools as a Member of the Ohio Reading & Math Corps.
- Work with students who are below‑proficient in reading or math for their grade level.
- Receive excellent training and be placed at one school for the school year.
- Provide tutoring to a set list of students in small groups or 1:1 settings.
- Contribute to the community, support students, and gain experience for future careers in a school district.
High school diploma or equivalency.
- Associate’s degree or higher,
- minimum of 48 semester credits or 72 quarter credits from an accredited institution, or
- pass the paraprofessional assessment.
No maximum age limit.
Schedule & Compensation- Full‑time, 30 hours/week (September 2 – May 31)
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Pay: $1,600 per month + education award of up to $3,697.50 upon completion
