Substitute Positions

Summary

The Substitute Position provides essential support to the educational environment by filling in for staff members during their absence. These positions include Teachers, Classroom Aides, Secretaries, Drivers, Cooks, and Custodians. These roles require flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere for students and staff. The individual will assist in various tasks as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities within the school.

• Assist teachers and staff in daily classroom activities and administrative tasks.
• Supervise students during classroom instruction, lunch, recess, and other school events.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment for students.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular staff member.
• Provide assistance to students as needed, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, and staff.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
• Support the implementation of school policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensure as applicable or required, additional education or training in education or child development is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different school environments.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards students.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be available on short notice.
• Pass background checks as required by local regulations.
