o Hold bachelor's degree and required Kentucky certification for assigned position.

o Proven ability to work effectively with students.

o Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty.

o Preferred years of teaching experience 5 years

SUPERVISES:
Not Applicable

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Meets and instructs assigned classes and groups in the locations at the times designated.

o Plan interventions that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.

o Collects, enters, and analyzes data regularly and on time to ensure students' progress and changes are made to each student's plan promptly.

o Conducts interventions for students in both reading and math.

o Assists teachers in testing and data entering as needed per their immediate supervisor's direction.

o Trains and coaches teachers in implementing interventions, assessing students, and any other programs specified by the immediate supervisor to ensure the fidelity of implementation in the school.

o Prepares for and conducts RTI meetings in reading and math per immediate supervisor's direction.

o Creates, monitors, enters, and analyzes data regularly for the team to make real-time decisions regarding student progress.

o Creates an environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

o Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.

o Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.

o Strives to implement the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives through instruction and action.

o Assesses students' accomplishments regularly and provides progress reports, including reports to parents as required, and implementation of the reading and math management systems.

o Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

o Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records and their confidentiality as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.

o Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student conduct for the classroom and school-related activities as set forth by the Code of Acceptable Behavior and Discipline.

o Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.

o Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s), cooperatively with team leads or instructional and guidance facilitators, and evaluates their job performance.

o Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.

o Assesses the learning needs of students regularly, seeking the assistance of district specialists as required.

o Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.

o Maintains a professional awareness of current literature related to the assignment, including working knowledge of state and federal law, Board policy, and administrative regulations.

o Perform related duties as assigned by the administrator or Superintendent.

SALARY:
Based on rank and experience
