Summary

Southeast Intermediate School is seeking a dedicated and experienced educational leader to join our team as an Intermediate School Principal. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and inclusive school environment, promote academic excellence, and support the social and emotional development of our students. This full-time position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership to staff, students, and the school community, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to establish and maintain high standards of academic achievement and student behavior.
  • Monitor and assess student performance data, using it to inform instructional practices and school improvement initiatives.
  • Manage school operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Foster a culture of professional development, encouraging staff to engage in ongoing learning and collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, community members, and local organizations to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Address and resolve student and staff concerns, promoting a positive school climate and effective conflict resolution.
  • Lead school-wide initiatives that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Participate in district-level meetings and committees to align school goals with district objectives.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
  • Valid state administrative certification or license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in an intermediate or middle school setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, staff, and the community.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to enhance student learning.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive school environment.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource management in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and community members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
