Job DescriptionDistrict Assessment Coordinator/Instructional Supervisor.
Qualifications- Kentucky Certification for Instructional Supervisor & DAC
- Degrees and experience commensurate with job description
Superintendent
Responsibilities- District wide testing
- Career and Technical Education coordination
- Extended School Services coordination
- Non-academic data collection
- District school report card coordination
- Coordinate and work closely with Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs)
- Survey and data collection on language instruction and assessment of Limited English Proficient students
- Inform leadership of the status of instructional programs, seek resources, and prepare and administer budgets as appropriate
- Organize, conduct, and evaluate curriculum development and assist others in evaluation, selecting, and using instructional resources
- Plan for, conduct, coordinate, and evaluate professional development activities designed to meet identified group needs
- Assist principals in planning and implementing effective programs of supervision and evaluation
- Design, recommend, and carry out educational initiatives; disseminate and interpret results to administrators, teachers, and parents as appropriate
- Supervise and coordinate the work of curriculum resource consultants
- Coordinate and lead PLCs
- Assist instructional personnel in identifying staff development needs
- Visit and assist individual instructional personnel
- Maintain rapport of trust and openness with all personnel
- Provide direction to school personnel for continued growth, secure resources for professional development/in-service activities, and serve as liaison between the school system and other agencies
- Conduct assessment activities to determine needs and effectiveness of school programs, organize and disseminate information, and provide support
- Promote good rapport, understanding, and support between school and community persons
- Responsible for the District Comprehensive Improvement Plan
- Responsible for the verification of certification of all certified staff in the district
- Assume other responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent
Commensurate with rank and experience;
Certified salary schedule and Administrative salary schedule.
Performance of the job will be evaluated yearly by the Superintendent/designee.
Job Requirements- Master's degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
