• Interpret the policies of the school to parents and other stakeholders.
• Execute the Board and administrative policies within the classroom and community.
• Direct and evaluate the learning experience of students in all activities sponsored by the school.
• Build positive relationships within and between school and community.
• Accept a share of responsibility for co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Evaluate own overall performance in relation to Kentucky’s learner goals and implement a professional development plan.
• Provide for own professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, workshops, conferences, and/or advanced coursework at institutions of higher learning.
• Participate in professional learning communities and professional learning activities.
• Contribute to the professional knowledge and expertise about teaching and learning.
• Participate in policy design and development at the local school, within professional organizations, and/or within community organizations with educationally related activities.
• Practice effective listening, conflict resolution, and group-facilitation skills as a team member.
• Initiate and develop educational projects and programs.
• Guide the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
• Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
• Demonstrate content knowledge within own discipline(s) and in application to other disciplines.
• Design and plan instruction that develops student abilities to use communication skills, apply core concepts, become self‑sufficient individuals, become responsible team members, think and solve problems, and integrate knowledge.
• Create a learning climate that supports the development of student abilities to use communication skills, apply core concepts, become self‑sufficient individuals, become responsible team members, think and solve problems, and integrate knowledge.
• Assess learning and communicate results to students and others with respect to student abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other agencies to design, implement, and support learning programs that develop student abilities to use communication skills, apply core concepts, become self‑sufficient individuals, become responsible team members, think and solve problems, and integrate knowledge.
• Reflect on and evaluate teaching/learning.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or meets EPSB requirements.
• Certificate:
  Valid Teaching Certificate.
• Experience and knowledge: ability to perform essential duties, as outlined above.
