Description/Notes: Direct and manage the overall program of music. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and district requirements. Primary responsibility will be teaching band to high school and junior high students and serving as the Band Director. The secondary responsibility will be teaching several sections of elementary music.

Water Valley ISD has a successful present and past STATE MARCHING BANDS and the expectations are to continue this great tradition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification
• CDL B

Salary Range:

• $3,000 above base stipend
• Recruitment and Retention Bonus of $1,000 - 1st year, $1,500 - 2nd year, $2,500 - 3rd year
• Yearly bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $5,000
• Competitive stipend and additional days paid for summer related duties
