, and continue to grow - opening 1–2 new schools each year, because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education. As part of this organizational expansion, we are also preparing to welcome our first-ever Zeta High School class of 9th graders in the 2026-27 school year, a milestone that marks the next chapter in our mission to provide a world-class, PreK-12 pathway.

This role is specifically for Zeta Queens Flushing Elementary School, which is our newest school in Queens launching in the  school year.

To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Special Education Associate or Manager with a Bachelor’s degree along with superb organizational skills and a deep dedication to education equity for all students.
There is a strong preference for Mandarin-speaking applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all students—especially students with disabilities and diverse learning needs—receive high-quality, compliant services and supports that enable them to thrive academically and socially.
• Partner closely with school leaders, teachers, school psychologists, school counselors, and families to build and maintain strong systems for tracking IEP services, intervention strategies, accommodations, and assessment data throughout the school year.
• Lead the implementation of effective systems and routines that ensure accurate data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation aligned to IEP goals and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with School Leadership to design and deliver professional development for instructional staff and service providers focused on data tracking, compliance, and high-quality execution of the IEP process.
• Represent the school in meetings with the Committee on Special Education (CSE), partnering with families and district teams to advocate for student needs and ensure timely, appropriate services.
• Drive student outcomes with urgency and accountability , using data as your primary tool to identify gaps, monitor progress, and continuously improve supports and services.
• Model strong ownership, problem-solving, and follow-through , ensuring that special education systems are executed with fidelity and that no student falls through the cracks.

We are hiring for the  school year with a start date of July 27, 2026. The salary range for this position is between $66,500 and $80,500. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience in social work, lead teaching, and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales.
