Professional Leadership

• Will strive to build positive relationships with the school and community.
• Participates in community structure to develop educational strategies for the school.
• Will be punctual and regular in attendance.
• Will follow school board policy and administrative procedures.
• Will adhere to the state professional Code of Ethics.
• Will maintain confidentiality when dealing with students and records.
• Will use technology appropriately.

Content Knowledge

• Responsible for content knowledge across the disciplines being taught.
• Is responsible for planning lessons and developing instructional material that reflect knowledge of current constructs and principles of the disciplines being taught.
• Will present accurate and factual information during instruction.
• Will connect content knowledge to real-world applications.

Plans Instruction

• Plans instruction that develops students' abilities to use communication skills.
• Plans instruction that allows the student to apply core concepts.
• Plans instruction that enables students to become self-sufficient individuals.
• Plans instruction that enables students to become responsible team members.
• Plans instruction that enables students to think and solve problems.
• Follows the guidelines of the school for lesson plan format.

Maintains Learning Climate

• Supports students with constructive feedback.
• Maintains positive classroom interaction.
• Maintains a classroom which supports student achievement
• Is consistent in dealing with students
• Follows the school discipline policy

Assessment

• Is responsible for developing appropriate assessment strategies.
• Maintains up-to-date records of student progress.
• Communicates student assessment to students and parents.

Professional Development

• Is expected to attend the required Professional Development sessions.
• Will maintain a Professional Growth Plan.
• Will attend all teachers meeting as directed by the principal.

Other

• Will be responsible for the supervision of students at all times.
• Will be responsible for maintaining all appropriate student records.
• Will serve as a representative on assigned Site Base committees.
• Will perform other duties assigned by the principal consistent with responsibilities becoming a teacher.
