Long Term Substitute

Position: Teacher – Licensed Moderate Disabilities Educator

Location: Fitchburg, MA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm

Salary: $55,000–$64,780 per year (based on education, licensure, experience)

Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000 for licensed teachers

• Prepare and teach lessons per the Massachusetts curriculum framework and students’ IEPs.
• Supervise Teacher’s Aides in the classroom.
• Work diligently to meet student needs and serve as a positive role model.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.

• 40+ days off per year following the school recess calendar, plus 8 sick days per year.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure or ability to obtain licensure in process required.
• Preferred: experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
• Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm, in Rutland, MA.
