Job Description- Kentucky Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Certification (IECE)
The current vacancy is at Muhlenberg South Head Start/Preschool.
Scope of ResponsibilitiesProvides services to preschool aged children according to state and federal guidelines to include:
- Implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Administering and scoring of student assessments
- Facilitating a variety of health/educational-related screenings
Performance Responsibilities / Essential Functions- Implements early childhood program standards to maximize student learning as aligned with District learning continuum
- Provides a full range of early childhood services within the classroom, including services to ECE children with varying disabilities
- Collaborates with a variety of health care providers, including OT/PT/Speech and other exceptional childhood service providers
- Supervises early childhood students in a classroom setting, as well as during meals
- Attends to personal needs of preschool children
- Maintains confidential records and information in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Participates in professional development activities related to the early childhood population and focused on District academic goals and priorities
- Duties may include performance of health services, for which training will be provided
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Adheres to the professional code of ethics
- Successfully utilizes technology as appropriate in job function
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- Kentucky Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Certification (IECE)
- Ability to work successfully with people
- Program specific certifications/training including CPR, first aid and health re-examinations
- Experience and preparation required by the Board
