Special Requirements:

  • Certificate:
    Current Kentucky Teaching certificate and a Consultation or Administrative Certification
  • Has 3 years teaching experience and has demonstrated exemplary teaching skills.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
  • Has demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic Function:

    Provide assistance to schools in the development and implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instruction resulting in positive student achievement that is consistent throughout the district and evidenced by student performance and assessment results.

    Representative Duties:

  • Keeps abreast of effective, research-based developments in curriculum, assessment, and instruction.
  • Provides job-embedded Professional Development activities for staff, which may include, but not be limited to: modeling, leading study groups, conducting workshops, mentoring, coaching, conducting action research, and collaborating.
  • Provides demonstration teaching on a regular basis in order to provide exemplary instruction to student and to provide staff development in the form of modeling teaching strategies and imparting content knowledge for classroom teachers.
  • Studies, evaluates, and recommends new instructional materials, methods, and programs.
  • Directs and coordinates the instructional programs in the school and works cooperatively with the district supervisory staff and principal to implement the total instructional program.
  • Assists with on-going programs of formal and informal assessment in the schools.
  • Meets regularly with Student Support Center Administrators and Leadership Team.
  • Helps facilitate the development and implementation of school and district curriculum.
  • Works closely with the principal to communicate instructional goals, objectives, and strategies to all staff members.
  • Helps classroom teachers analyze formal and informal test data and student work in order to diagnose needs and plan prescriptive instruction.
  • Works with and supports innovative educational practices and programs within the district.
  • Assists the Academic Division, principals, and teachers with the planning and implementation of professional development activities.
  • Participates in faculty meetings of the school as recommended by supervisor.
  • Assists teachers with differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintains professional competence through professional development activities provided by the district and self-selected professional growth activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Physical Demands:

    • Work is performed by standing, sitting, or walking
    • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
    • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
    • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights

    Terms Of Employment:
    Salary and work year to be established by the Board and reflected in district salary schedules and individual employee contract.
