Dixon Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated instructional coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will support teachers in enhancing their instructional practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment, and improving student outcomes. This full‑time position requires an individual who is committed to professional development and has a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies. The instructional coach will work closely with educators to implement best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with teachers to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized coaching plans.
- Provide modeling and co‑teaching opportunities to demonstrate effective instructional strategies.
- Facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
- Analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and drive student achievement.
- Support the implementation of curriculum and instructional programs aligned with school goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative culture among staff through regular feedback and encouragement.
- Stay current with educational research and best practices to provide relevant support to teachers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school‑wide initiatives and improvement plans.
- Serve as a resource for teachers in integrating technology and innovative teaching methods.
- Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and the community to promote a shared vision for student success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Valid teaching certification and a minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.
- Proven experience in instructional coaching or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with staff.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving student outcomes.
