Location: Dixon

Dixon Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated instructional coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will support teachers in enhancing their instructional practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment, and improving student outcomes. This full‑time position requires an individual who is committed to professional development and has a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies. The instructional coach will work closely with educators to implement best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized coaching plans.
  • Provide modeling and co‑teaching opportunities to demonstrate effective instructional strategies.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and drive student achievement.
  • Support the implementation of curriculum and instructional programs aligned with school goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative culture among staff through regular feedback and encouragement.
  • Stay current with educational research and best practices to provide relevant support to teachers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school‑wide initiatives and improvement plans.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers in integrating technology and innovative teaching methods.
  • Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and the community to promote a shared vision for student success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification and a minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Proven experience in instructional coaching or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving student outcomes.
