Position Overview
University of the Cumberlands is seeking a core faculty member for the hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. This is a 12‑month, full‑time, tenure‑track position with rank determined by experience.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, clinically focused, evidence‑based learning opportunities through asynchronous, synchronous, and in‑person instruction.
- Contribute to curriculum development, student advisement, recruitment, and retention.
- Provide service at the departmental, college, university, and community level.
- Contemporary expertise in physiology, pathophysiology, or exercise science to handle primary teaching responsibilities across the curriculum.
- Experience or clinical background in acute/cardiopulmonary and/or pharmacology coursework.
- Capability to travel to Williamsburg, KY for semester‑specific on‑campus teaching and required events.
- Strong organizational, communication, decision‑making, teamwork, interpersonal, technological, and personal leadership skills.
- Ph.D., EdD, DSc, or equivalent academic doctorate OR a DPT with clinical expertise, teaching experience, and current ABPTS clinical specialist certification.
- Current unencumbered licence to practice physical therapy in Kentucky or eligibility to secure one within 90 days.
- Interest in and ability to use online instructional technologies.
- Willingness to travel for face‑to‑face teaching at on‑campus lab immersions and required events.
