About the Role:Assistant Teaching Professor
Primary responsibilities include teaching design courses for the program, designing scenery, projections, and/or props for mainstageseason productions, providing leadership and mentorship of students in the design area, and recruiting and mentoring majors within thedesign area of the program. Possible teaching responsibilities may include scenic design, projection design and control, propertiesdesign, scenic painting, drafting, rendering, fundamentals ofdesign, and special topics in design. Additional responsibilitiesmay include paint, projections, and prop shop oversight.
Other duties will be assigned based on the candidate’s strengths and theneeds of the program. Responsibilities also include the development of a scholarly/creative agenda in research, performance, and/or professional creative activities.
