Behavior Coach Instructional Tutor
This position is grant funded through Title 1 for the 2026–2027 school year ONLY! Bullitt County Public Schools is requesting a waiver to fill this position before the standard 15-day posting period to ensure we are fully staffed for the upcoming school year.
Brooks Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Coach Instructional Tutor to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year!
Role Overview :
This vital position will support Tier 2 and Tier 3 students and collaborate with teachers to implement MTSS behavior interventions.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with behavior plans and strategies Collecting and analyzing student behavior data Supporting positive behavior development across classrooms Working directly with students and teachers to promote success

Position Details
- Hours:
6.25 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch) - Contract Length: 174 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
- 7 planning days
- 2 extended days
- Contract Adjustments:
Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date - Employment Status:
Full-time with benefits - Employment Type:
10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
Must have at least 64 college credits and a 2.5 GPA. - Documentation:
Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
- 2026–2027 Pay Scale
- Starting Pay (Step
0): $24.63/hour - Experienced Pay (Step 10): $26.97/hour
We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired. New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll
Note:
While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June. Salary Formula:
Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
