Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history and be in good health, as evidenced by completing a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior, must possess a minimum of a GED certificate, and five years of field experience, specifically in the K-12 school setting, preferred.

Essential Job Functions:
Ability to:

- Evaluate the success of programs and act accordingly
- Supervise students.
Responsibilities:

- Manage staff and record-keeping on time
- Evaluate the success of programs and act accordingly
- Supervise students
- Provide academic programs for remediation and enrichment
- Target Groups - Provide recreational programs
- Data management and presentation skills
- Expand parent involvement and skill building
- With teaching and administrative staff, plan and provide experiences in all events after school programs, classrooms, cafeteria, and community events (i.e., Family engagement nights, skill-building, 95210 family nights, food tasting events, National School Lunch Week, National School Breakfast Week, School Lunch Hero Day, Farm to Fork (Spring and Fall), Hog Roast, Even with Industry, Walk-A-Mile, Tower to Table, FFVP, and other special events, etc.)
- Staff-to-student ratio for students
- Listening attentively to parents, staff, and students, and keeping records of these comments, requests, or suggestions for the center.
- Managing and budgeting finance for the center.
- Have a good understanding of the geographic locations of your center.
- Responsible for all equipment and inventory lists.
- Attending and monitoring all activities related to the district's after-school activities (4 districts, even and Saturday activities)
- Attending and monitoring all activities to ensure the center is running satisfactorily under all policies and processes.
Additional Requirements:
- Will be required to complete all required training and attend in-service sessions as specified in the grant or as communicated by KDE or Start Licensed Childcare.
- Performs assigned tasks on time.
- Consistently displays self-control with parents, students, and school personnel.
- Maintains a clean workstation (school area, desk, office, etc.) and does maintenance as needed.
- Be clean, neat, and appropriately dressed.
- Be consistently responsible and display an attitude of honesty and credibility.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, interest, and concern for the overall program and its effective operation.
- Maintains student control.
- Safely operate equipment at all times.
- Demonstrate positive behavior toward the purposes and goals of the Barren County Public Schools.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Travel occasionally to off-site meetings, training, and events
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of programs and after-school staff.
- Ensure that Asst. Coordinators are developing high-quality programming by collecting and reviewing lesson plans for content and effective planning.
- Acquire and manage program equipment, materials/supplies, and facilities
- Monitor student behavior on-site during program hours and utilize appropriate disciplinary measures as necessary
- Maintain student participation and attendance throughout the year via recruitment and retention activities, including student voice and choice engagement strategies
- Develop and thoroughly understand the school site budget and any grant compliance requirements
- Research and align effective program partnerships and collaborations to ensure that partner expectations are met
- Check email and text messages daily to ensure that program updates and communications are reviewed and responded to on time
- Manage the end-of-session celebrations and the monthly newsletter
- Manage the end-of-year showcase/culminating event to close out the program
- Conduct regular staff meetings with the District After school Coordinator (weekly or every other week)
- Meet every month with the site principal.
- Required to take all mandatory training.
- Ability to be at the assigned school site on Mondays-Friday, 8 hours or 4 hours from approximately 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm or 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm (hours may be flexible).
21st CCLC Coordinator:
- Ensure each center places a scope of instruction focused on ALL student academic goals.
- Provide recreational and academic enrichment activities for students.
- Oversee student, parent, and partner surveys.
- Meet or exceed Average Daily Attendance (ADA) goals throughout the year.
