Falmouth Elementary School is seeking a full-time dynamic educational technician to fill a Pre-K educational technician III position.
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and skilled individual who is passionate about supporting the social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth of 4-year-olds during these important early learning years. Working as part of our Pre-K team, this educational technician will provide targeted supports for students needing additional assistance with self-regulation, social skills, and behavior. Through collaboration with classroom teachers and other support staff, this individual will help implement proactive strategies and interventions that foster positive relationships, build independence, and ensure all students have the skills they need to be successful in the classroom.
The ideal candidates will be collaborative, demonstrate a willingness to grow professionally, and have experience working in an early learning setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Pre-K teachers in creating a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate for young learners
- Building positive relationships with children and supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth
- Supporting students with daily classroom routines and activities
- Supervising students throughout the school day
- Performing other related tasks as assigned by teachers and the administrator as designated by the Superintendent
The successful candidates must have Maine Educational Technician Level III authorization and have completed necessary fingerprinting through the Maine Department of Education, as well as a district-run background check. Candidates will be required to register with Maine Roads to Quality. Experience in early childhood or Pre-K settings is preferred.
CompensationInitial salary placement is determined by verifiable years of experience, in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
