Big Sandy Community and Technical College invites qualified candidates to apply for the part‑time position of Adjunct Instructor for Education.

Part‑time faculty may be needed to teach for selected day, evening, weekend, and online classes at any of our campus locations.

Part‑time instructors are paid $515.00 per college credit hour.

Instructor hired will be asked to teach one or more of the following classes:

• EDU 201 Intro to American Education
• EDP 203 Teaching Exceptional Learner
• EDU 270 Elementary School Literature

• Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials.
• Provides instruction to students in the subject area.
• Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress.
• Utilizes approved online course template and syllabus format.

• Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Education.
• Credential must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
• A passion for teaching undergraduate students and an ability to work with a team effectively is essential to success in this position.

• Experience with online teaching is preferred.
• Teaching and Blackboard experience preferred.
