K-5 Curriculum Tutor

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Curriculum Tutor to join our team at Southeast Elementary School. This part-time position involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of the curriculum and support their academic growth. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, foster a love for learning, and help students achieve their educational goals.

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in various subjects, focusing on the curriculum standards.
• Assess students’ learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans to address those needs.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to align tutoring sessions with classroom instruction.
• Create engaging and interactive learning materials to enhance students’ understanding of concepts.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

• Teacher Licensure (substitute also)
• Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with elementary school students.
• Strong understanding of elementary school curriculum and educational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including after school and possibly evenings or weekends.
