JV Volleyball Head Coach

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls JV Volleyball Head Coach. The volleyball season takes place between August 24th
- November 9th. Required hours during the season are Monday - Friday, 3pm-6pm. Involvement in the middle school girls volleyball program is encouraged but not required. Middle school athletics takes place Monday-Friday from 2pm- 3:30pm.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

• Serve as Head Girls JV Volleyball Coach for the Upper School
• Effectively planning and organizing both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff
• Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day
• Collaborating with the assistant coaches in planning and communication
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times
• Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner

Desired qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-years successful high school Girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience
• A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
• Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
