THE ROLE
Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU), a private institution located in Provo, Utah, invites applications from qualified, passionate people seeking a full-time faculty position in our Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Bridge program.
Faculty members play an integral role in advancing the University's mission through teaching, scholarship, service, and academic leadership. In this role, you will collaborate with the Program Director and fellow faculty to support curriculum development, student learning and progression, admissions, advisement, program assessment, and ongoing program success.
This position requires travel to campus for at least one week per semester (approximately 3-4 times per year).
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERSAs a member of the MOT Bridge faculty, you will help shape the next generation of occupational therapy professionals. Your contributions to teaching, mentorship, scholarship, and program development directly support student success, academic excellence, and the continued growth of the MOT Bridge program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Teach courses and develop instructional materials in support of the MOT curriculum.
- Contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and continuous program improvement.
- Advise and mentor students throughout their academic journey.
- Support student admissions, progression, and fieldwork education activities.
- Participate in faculty governance, accreditation, and program assessment efforts.
- Serve on University and program committees.
- Collaborate with faculty, administrators, students, and community partners.
- Engage in scholarly, professional, and service activities that advance the profession, the program mission, and University mission.
- A terminal doctoral degree such as a Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy, EdD, or PhD.
- Eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Utah and state of residence.
- Current knowledge of occupational therapy education, evidence-based practice, and contemporary professional issues.
- Experience with adult learning principles and online, hybrid, or face-to-face instruction.
- Ability to meet ACOTE faculty requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to campus at least one week per semester (approximately 3-4 times per year).
- Experience with hybrid teaching and learning
- Experience teaching in an occupational therapy program.
- Clinical practice, academic leadership, or program administration experience.
- Experience with research, scholarship, or other professional contributions to the field.
- Active involvement in state, regional, or national professional organizations.
