Heidelberg University is accepting resumes for an adjunct pool in the School of Business. An Adjunct Instructor in the School of Business provides instruction to undergraduate or graduate students in the following course subjects: accounting, business, economics, finance, human resource management, management, marketing, supply chain management, and/or sport management. Adjunct instructors will teach part-time on an as-needed basis and should be willing to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online, and at varied class times that may include evenings according to program needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Adjunct Instructor in the School of Business will:

  • Teach courses in accounting, business, economics, finance, human resource management, management, marketing, supply chain management, and/or sport management as needed in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters based on candidate expertise and qualifications. Courses could be assigned as in-person or online instruction.
  • Utilize innovative and collaborative teaching methods in support of the School’s mission and learning objectives.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned/as outlined in the Faculty Manual

Desired Attributes and Qualifications

Education and Professional

Experience:

  • Master’s Degree or appropriate professional experience in a related field.
  • Teaching/Instructional experience.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. or ABD in a related field
  • Documented background in the related instructional area.
  • Two years of college-level teaching experience.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Knowledge of operation and use of various office equipment, including, but not limited to: personal computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software, integrated database software, fax machines, copier, telephone, scanner, and printers. A valid driver’s license may be required.
