As a
** Paraprofessional (Teacher’s Assistant)**, you will work alongside educators to support student learning and classroom operations. This role includes providing small-group and individualized support, assisting with classroom management, and helping maintain a structured and engaging learning environment.## ##
** Key Responsibilities**###
** Instructional Support
*** Support lead teachers with lesson delivery, classroom activities, and transitions
* Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce skills and reteach concepts
* Support individualized learning plans and student interventions###
** Student Supervision & Environment
*** Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal to ensure safety
* Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Support behavior management and reinforce expectations###
** Operations & Collaboration
*** Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
* Assist with grading and documentation as directed
* Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
* Substitute for lead teachers as needed## ##
** Qualifications & Experience**###
*
* Minimum Requirements:

*** High school diploma or equivalent
** and
* * successful completion of a paraprofessional exam    
** OR
* ** Associate’s degree or higher
* Prior experience working with children in a school setting
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative###
** Preferred:
*** Bilingual (English/Spanish)
* Experience working in Title I or diverse school environments## ##
** Background Requirements (Arkansas)
*** Arkansas State Background Check
* Child Maltreatment Central Registry Check
* Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) required background clearance and fingerprinting## ##
