Special Education Teacher (Education Specialist) - Oakland, CA
Make $50/hour on W-2 or $67/hour on 1099 while supporting students with diverse learning needs in a meaningful, in-person school setting. We’re currently hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (Education Specialist) to support students in Oakland, CA for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for credentialed special education teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and student success.

- Provide direct special education instruction in accordance with student IEPs
- Manage an average caseload of approximately 24 students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Develop and implement instructional strategies aligned with student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure state and school compliance
- Full-time role, 40 hours per week
- Assignment runs from February through the end of the school year
- In-person position
- California Education Specialist credential or intern permit
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort working in an in-person, team-based school environment
- Bilingual skills and experience with English Language Learners preferred, not required
- Earn up to $50/hour on W-2 or $67/hour on 1099, based on experience
- Full-time, school-year assignment
- Ongoing support from the Liricare team
