- Plan and preparation for 2 sections of 7th grade science and 4 sections of 8th grade science
- Align coursework to the Common Core Standards
- Instruct students for the purpose of improving their success in these content areas
- Create a classroom environment that develops student skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Evaluate student progress and communicate this progress with parents
- Administer and develop assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior
- Supervision responsibilities as assigned
- Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities
- Analyze data to determine curriculum decisions and path
- Professional license with an endorsement in general science
- Make sure you have taken the mandated JH course to teach in self contained content area
- Experience preferred but not required
per negotiated contract
