Function
The Technology Integration Specialist will provide support for teachers and students by fulfilling the following:
- Ensurestaffareeffectiveusersofinformation,ideasandtechnologyforinstruction.
- Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and discerning, technologically literate, ethical users of information.
- Instill a love of lifelong learning in all students
- Ensure equitable access to information and learning resources
- Collaboratewithteachersandspecialiststodesignandimplementintegratedlessonsandinstructionalunits around the four C’s: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
Essential Duties and Performance Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Develop a media program that addresses 21 st century skills, including life and career development, learning and innovation, and information, media and technology literacy.
- Collaboratewithcolleaguestopromotereading,informationliteracyskills,andtheuseofinformationresources.
- Instructstudentsandstaffininformationandtechnologyliteracyskills,includingreadingforunderstanding,theresearchprocess,engaginginquiry,collaboration,critical thinking,developingmultipleliteracies,andunderstandingcopyright,fairuse,andlicensingofintellectualproperty
- Cooperateandnetworkwiththelibraryaide,Technology Directorandotheragenciestoprovideexpanded accesstoresourcesforstudentsandteachers
- Lead colleagues through staff development that incorporates best practices in the use of information resources, multi-media technology applications, and online learning.
- Work as an instructional partner by collaborating with teaching staff in preparing and delivering lessons that incorporate effective use of information resources and build information literacy and reading skills.
- Maintainfrequentandtimelycommunicationwithstakeholdersthroughaneffectiveonlineschoolmediaprogrampresenceandotherformatssuchaspresentations,email,newsletters,and reports.

- Ability to successfully interact with students and staff from various disciplines and with differing skill levels
- Familiaritywithnationalandstatestandardsforinformationandtechnologyliteracy,includingtheInternational
Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

Conditions
- Indoor classrooms/School, exposure to: student noise, lawn mowing, music, odors of food, mowed grass and possible communicable diseases.

Minimum Starting Salary: 0 Years of experience with Masters Degree $56,250.00
Maximum Starting Salary: 31 Years of experience with Masters Degree plus 60 additional hours $
