Provide instructional design consultation and support to faculty in the development, redesign, and continuous improvement of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses; serve as the College’s Learning Management System (LMS) manager, including system administrator, configuration, user support, integrations, troubleshooting, testing, and communication of updates; collaborate with faculty to develop student centered, accessible, engaging, and academically rigorous instructional materials that align with course and program learning outcomes;
develop training materials including instructional guides, tutorials, videos, online resources, and self-paced learning modules; design, coordinate, and facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff related to instructional technologies, online pedagogy, assessment, accessibility, artificial intelligence, and emerging educational practices; support institutional accreditation initiatives by assisting faculty with assessment planning, curriculum mapping, learning outcomes assessment, and documentation related to Middles States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) requirements;
coordinate and facilitate new course development and existing course review processes using established quality standards and instructional design best practices; assist faculty in developing measurable student learning outcomes, authentic assessments, competency mapping, and curriculum alignment; ensure online instructional materials comply with ADA, Section 504, Section 508, and WCAG accessibility standards and assist faculty in creating inclusive learning environments; participate in institutional committees and initiatives related to teaching, learning, assessment, instructional technology, accreditation, and student success.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development and revision of instructional policies, procedures, and best practices related to instructional technology and online education; support grant initiatives, pilot projects, and institutional innovation efforts involving instructional technology and teaching excellence; develop institutional communications including newsletters, user guides, knowledge based articles, promotional materials, multimedia presentations, and instructional videos.
