Middle School Science Teacher

Develop and deliver standards-based science lessons

Teach topics such as life science, earth science, and physical science

Conduct labs and hands-on experiments to enhance learning

Assess student understanding through quizzes, tests, and projects

Maintain an organized, safe, and positive classroom environment

Integrate technology and real-world connections into instruction

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress

Participate in school meetings, professional development, and events

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field
• Valid state teaching certification for grades 6–8 (Middle School Science)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for teaching science and working with adolescents

• Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience, based on the district’s certified salary schedule.
• Contract: Full-time, 9-month position (180 days).
• Retirement: Participation in the state’s Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS).
