Assistant High School Softball Coach

SUMMARY To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. These positions are renewed on a yearly basis by the Board of Education.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of the sport and of the rules of the sport.
• Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those contacted in the course of work (students, parents, and staff).
• Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner
• Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
• Follow IESA/IHSA coaching qualifications established by state governing bodies.

Ridgeview Jr/Sr High School is a rural school in Colfax, Illinois. Colfax is located northeast of the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. Although we may be small, we are proud of our extensive resources on-hand to support our students in the areas of literacy, technology, mental health, as well as STEM and co-teaching. Prospective teachers should expect to have small class sizes, a family friendly environment, and a supportive community.

Each student is provided their own Chromebook and have access to a variety of advanced technologies. We have an extremely supportive board of education, administrative team, and staff who are willing to do what it takes for our students and our community.
