Compensation is determined in accordance with the City College of San Francisco Faculty Salary Schedule for Pay-by-workload assignments. The workload compensation upon entry currently ranges from $2,163.36 to $3,302.80 per workload unit, depending upon placement.

The position of Business Department Instructor (part-time) will provide class instruction for our students in various business disciplines, business certificate areas, and general business curriculum.

Job Duties

1. Teach hybrid, online and/or multiple CCSF instructional sites in one or more of the following areas:

  • Accounting
  • Business Administration
  • Marketing
  • Supervision and Management
  • Computer Applications (Microsoft Office 365)

2. Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress including, but not limited to, grading, entry of student learning outcomes, required record keeping, etc.

3. May participate in departmental functions, such as staff meetings, committee work, faculty evaluations, curriculum development, student learning outcomes (SLO's) development and assessment, and others.

4. Teach in-person day, evening, and/or Saturday classes at any of the College’s campuses as required.

5. Support and engage in an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive and anti-racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps. Participate in required department, division, and school meetings, professional development sessions and trainings, and Flex Days.

6. Participate in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racist pedagogy.

7. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Accounting: 1. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with community college students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientations, disabilities, and ethnic backgrounds (Required). 2. Earned Master’s Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration with Accounting concentration from an accredited institution; OR THE EQUIVALENT . OR Earned Bachelor’s Degree in Business with Accounting emphasis or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis or Economics with an Accounting emphasis from an accredited institution AND earned Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Education, Economics, Taxation, or Finance from an accredited institution;

OR THE EQUIVALENT . OR Earned Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration with Accountancy concentration from an accredited institution with a valid CPA license (must be valid in California); OR THE EQUIVALENT . OR Hold a fully-satisfied LIFE California Community College Instructor Credential in Accounting (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990).

Marketing: 1.
